Always a lot of fun when Mimi and Poppy are here and we hate to say goodbye!

Mimi and Poppy's visit with us during the week of Christmas and New Year's

We didn't get to do to much outside of the normal everyday things, but Mimi and Poppy were only here for a little over a week and they had to split their time between Jess, Mike and Us so it makes it hard to make special plans to go anywhere. We did venture out to do a little shopping which is always a fun time and we went to Toscana's for dinner one night too. We filled our days with Mommy and Daddy sleeping in an extra hour or so and having breakfast made for us too. We took the kids on a few wagon rides, Mommy learned how to finally work the leaf blower properly, Poppy took down a few dead tree branches out front, we got to see Uncle Walt, Aunt Marion, Bob and Midge and have a little family time before they all headed out to dinner at Carolina Blue. It was great to see everyone. Jess and the kids came by as well and Uncle Andy was here with Pop Pop running around chasing the kids. Mimi helped me finish decorating for Christmas by making me a ton of bows for all around the house and the front porch which looked amazing. I am hoping they will look as good when I pull them out again next year. Mara had a lot of fun listening to Poppy sing all kinds of crazy songs and be goofy with her. Connor had enough energy for Mimi and Poppy to be exhausted for about a month. Meghan just was happy playing in her doll house and eating. New Year's Eve they hung out with the kids and had Pizza so Don and I could go out with our friends. They enjoyed watching a lot of football and playing games in the house. Mara even got to have a little sleepover in their bed on the last night. Mara has also been enjoying staying in pj's all day long because Mimi or Poppy was always willing to stay here with her if I had to run out or if Mimi and Me went shopping. She loves her lazy days of Pj's.
