Flyers pulled it off. The Alumni Rocked the Ice and they came away with a 3-1 win over the Rangers.
Saturday is New Years Eve and I am so excited to spend the entire day with Don. It's not often that we get to spend an entire day together with out the kids. Don is working in the morning and then we are going to the Alumni Hockey Game at Citizens Bank Park which he is totally pumped about. He is really excited to see his all time favorite hockey player "Eric Lindros" hit the ice again. I am excited to go to the game as well. It's been a long time since we have been at a hockey game together. We sold most of our tickets this year and the ones we had left he is taking Connor to the games. After the game we have plans to go to dinner with 16 of our friends from our old town and then one of the girls is having everyone over to her house for a New Year's Eve celebration. I'm sure we will be home at 12:05 after a long day of excitement but I am looking forward to a lot of fun. We are all getting dressed up and that is something to look forward to as well. Sunday we are planning to just veg here and probably take down some Christmas decorations. Uncle Andy will still be here and Mimi and Poppy are planning to head back to Florida that day too. I am going to enjoy making a big pot of chili and watching Football will be our big day. Go Eagles!
We decided instead of chilli to ring in the new year with a Brand new Recipe: Ginger Rub Prime Rib with Yams, Risotto, Mac and Cheese, Salad and a super Yummy Au Jus Gravy!
Monday, Don gets another day off(well he is on call so he will have to round in the morning) but he is going to have a great day spending time with his brother at the Winter Classic Game. They are both very excited to be going to the game. I'm sure they will be freezing but hopefully the excitement of watching hockey outside will take away the BBBBBrrrrrrrr..... frenzy of being freezing cold outside. I bought everyone hand warmers so hopefully that will help us all.
Tuesday life will get back to normal, The beginning of getting back into our routine of school, a clean house, family dinners and our daily life.
