Hockey is in our near future...

It's Official....Lessons start next Saturday!
Well we took the plunge today into the beginning of Connor's hockey career or let's hope so at least for his middle names sake and his love for Bobby Clarke.

Connor playing with one of his sticks a few years ago, wow, how much he has grown up!
"Jumping rope and doing push ups are going to make me really strong and an excellent hockey player, right, Dad?"

Connor's first experience on ice skates today and he had so much. He used the walker to help him get the hang of it for the first half hour and then felt confident enough to go on his own. After our first skate we went over to the ice arena club store and tried on a pair of hockey skates and are all ready to go for our first official "Learn to Skate" hockey class.  He will take 10 one hour classes of Learn to Skate and hopefully move up to the Learn to Play Hockey Class by the end of the session. We saw kids of all different ages there learning to skate so I'm sure it will be to his benefit to start young and this way we can find out if he really does like playing hockey after all.
