Can't believe I am 5 months pregnant!

Today I went for my 20 week ultrasound which by all my measurements is having me at 20 weeks in just a few days. Eveything went really well today and the baby is growing just as it should be. The heart rate continues to be in the 130's just like it has been since the very beginning. Don couldn't get out of work today to come with me, but I survived and so did the bundle in my belly. We decided not to find out what the baby's sex is and to just keep it as our "the best surprise that life can truely give you" and not find out. It is oh so tempting as you lie down on the table and are just so close to seeing what is there, but something that keeps you wondering is just as fun too. I got three huge print out ultrasound pics but our printer is down again so I can't scan them. It seems that whenever we lose power we have to re install our printer program(such an annoyannce). So this is what the baby looks like at 5mos via computer technology:
This week you will have 283 paper clips in your collection as your baby weighs about 10 ounces. Your baby is also 10 inches long, which is about the size of a human foot.

okay, now don't get too excited....this is just a picture of any baby, not ours! I just wanted you to see how big the baby is getting. Just crazy, today was the first time one of the kids actually noticed that my stomach was growing and it was Connor. Of course, with such fine words,"Wow, Mommy your belly is really getting big!" I am catching up on not gaining any weight in the first trimester and just gained about 10lbs in two weeks....SCARY! I have gained 12 lbs since the very beginning and all I want to eat is nacho chips and velveeta cheese every night. I promised my self that I was going to start walking soon, but at the end of the day I am just too tired.

Week 20 How Big is the Baby at 20 Weeks Pregnant?
By pregnancy week 20, your baby is now almost 10 to 11 ounces and is 10 inches long! The pregnancy week by week changes occurring at this stage are truly remarkable. Note - starting at 20 weeks, length measurements are calculated from your baby's head to it's toes.
Your Baby's Growth and Development
By 20 weeks, your baby is now practicing breathing and swallowing on a regular basis. Your baby continues to grow and fill out, with the head becoming slightly more proportional to the rest of the body.

Your baby's skin is becoming more complex now, forming different layers. The epidermis, or surface of your baby's skin, has four layers that contain ridges for fingertips. The layers that form in your baby's palms and feet will provide him with his own unique fingerprint later in life.
Your Growth and Development
By 20 weeks, you are at the midpoint of your pregnancy, and onlookers are definitely starting to notice your bump! After pregnancy week 20 your uterus has likely reached your bellybutton. Growth typically starts to become more regular from this point on, so you should be noticing regular changes in your belly.
Remember that you are now halfway through your pregnancy, only 20 more weeks to go! Some ladies will deliver slightly sooner than 40 weeks, while others will delivery shortly after. A typical pregnancy usually lasts anywhere from 37-42 weeks. Where you fall in this spectrum will depend on a number of factors, including the accuracy of your due date, the health of your baby, and even your genetics!
