Taking full Advantage of the Spring Like Weather

An Early March Visit to the Philadelphia Zoo
(america's first zoo)
We headed to the zoo Wednesday morning with the Sooneen's and the Scheiner's to take complete advantage of the great March weather and the super deal that the zoo and walmart was offering. (Jess, I still owe you half for the visit) You couldn't beat free parking and $10pp to get in to the park. I was hoping for a little more sunshine, but the animals were happy and super active and the kids were excellent except for the bizzillion times Jess and I had to tell Connor and Lauren to stop running!
I have never seen so much going on at the zoo in one day. The Lions were walking all around and rolling in the sand, the chimp was eating, the polar bear was swimming, the zebras were running around crazy trying to get away from the tree workers in the background, the goats were happy to be brushed, the ducks enjoyed their feedings, the peacocks were spreading their wings.....

Every Day that passes by is a great new and enjoyable experience to see your kids growing up and exploring the many joys life has to bring. Last year at the zoo, Connor wouldn't get with 10 feet of the goats and this year he was having a conversation with one of the goats and brushing all of them. He was a little apprehensive of the bigger goat, but just kept asking the other goats if they were having a good day and if it was okay if he could brush their coats. It's super amazing to see how their little imaginations work so well and how sweet he can be most of the time.

Connor and Lauren are two peas in a pod...need I say more!

You are my best friend,
My very best friend,
You make me happy,
Everyday,
You share your great snacks,
You share your best toys,
So please don't take
My best friend away.

So has anyone ever said they found their soul mate at 4 years old. I think Connor has found his. Lauren and Connor are great together. Connor never stepped a foot away with out asking Lauren for his hand. Even when Lauren wouldn't get away from the train, he tried to pull her away and then was starting to get upset because she wouldn't come with us. He actually thought we were going to leave her behind when Jess told her that we were going to start walking away. He is like a big brother to her and it is so sweet to watch them play together.

Connor's buddy Ryan
I know sometimes three's a crowd and Connor did a great job including Ryan in the trip. They were all holding hands and having fun watching all the animals run around.
