Getting an early start to Spring

On Sunday after Mommy had an amazing 10.5 mile run down Oldman's Creek Road and the entire perimeter of Woolwich, I came home and we took a fun family bike ride to the park in Logan and all through the woods. I think we rode about 5 miles. I am definitely feeling it today! The kids were so excited to go in the bike trailer. We can't wait to look for fun trails to explore this spring and summer. Connor is really getting to be a big boy, almost hitting the top of the trailer with his head.

Connor had is 4 year well visit today and come to find out he has an ear infection in his right ear that we didn't even know about and poor Mara has a yeast infection that I've been trying to treat with lotrimin and the Dr said, "no, you need Nystatin for this" So hopefully they will both be better in a few days.

Connor's Stats:
Height: 40 inches
Weight: 33lbs
The doctor told me that he is tall compared to his weight. Kind of hard to believe since Don and I aren't that tall. Connor keeps saying he wants to be like Uncle Mike, so maybe he did inherit the tall genes. I guess we will find out later. Connor had to get three shots today and then next year will get the rest of the shots needed for school. He is growing up so fast. He only cried a little bit and then said, " I never want to go back there again, Mommy" He had a reaction to the MMR vaccine when he was one year old, so we are holding off on that one for now. Hopefully when he gets it next year, we won't see a repeat. The rash was awful and covered his entire torso.



Mara in this picture is looking at the big mess in the garage. One year ago it was completely cleaned out. It's amazing how quickly the mess returns.

Daddy was watching the kids while Mommy was working and this is what I came home too:

So I asked Don how Mara got the big egg on her head and his response was, " I don't know, I didn't see it happen!" Well so much for Daddy being in charge. Just glad it was only a bump.

As for Connor, he was playing ball in the house and took a dive into the telephone table in the hallway and automatically came up with a huge shiner under his eye. He cried for a second and then like Daddy always says, "Boys are tough and hockey players get bruisers"

Awe, such a sad face:(
