Our Little Mara is TWO!

NOVEMBER 30, 2009

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to Mara, Happy Birthday to you."

ALL ABOUT OUR MARA
Her favorites:
Book: Thomas the train,"Thomas and Friends" the one with the music to press on the side along with the book.
And seriously could one baby actually have this much stuff in her crib to sleep with each and every night. It's amazing that she finds room for herself.
Song: Powerful from the Vacation Bible CD. She will just scream the words along with Connor. She also loves this little light of mine.
Toy: My little Pony and Connor's matchbox cars.
Foods: Mac and cheese and hot dogs
Movie: Wonder Pets and Barney and Cailou movie if we are in the car.
Outfit: PJ's with feeties. I don't have a choice, It's what my mommy dresses me in, I often fight her to just be naked baby!

More all about Mara

Lessons she takes: Monday morning library story times, Connor teaching her all that she needs to know. She can count to four, say her ABC's and sing lots of songs.
Sports she plays:
Swimming: whether it be on the beach, at the community pool, in the bath tub, or at the Brevard County Zoo in Florida in 70 degree weather, Mara loves to splash and swim.
Playing ball with Connor: basketball, baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse.
Favorite Hobbies:
Being with her Daddy all day long everyday. She is a true Daddy's girl. She likes to play with her baby's, push the stroller, but really her favorite things to do are playing with anything Connor has. I think she likes matchbox cars more than anything else. She does like to scribble, give her a pen, crayon, marker, pencil and watch out! She also loves sidewalk chalk. She loves to go to the park and slide down the slides. At two I would never have thought all the things that she can do at this age. It's actually pretty scary because she has no fear. At one of the parks near our house their is this climbing wall before you get to the slides and what do you know I turned my head for two seconds and she was up the wall!

Best Friends and the things she does with them:
Connor- We are so thankful that God gave us siblings, for without them their would never be a forever friend. Mara just loves her brother to pieces.
Peyton and Carson- She loves to play with her cousins. They love playing and giggling together. Mara likes to cuddle and be with Peyton watching her every move.
Sully- so I haven't figured out yet if she loves playing with Sully, sleeping at his house for nap times(during my swaps with Amanda), or just thinks his name is too cute to not say all the time. She could go all day saying Sully, sully, sully. We pull up to his house and its amazing that she really knows that it is his house.
Her Playgroup buddies: Hannah, Amanda, Chase, Danielle. She loves to play with all their toys when we rotate houses every Tuesday morning. Its great to see how they are all starting to interact together.

Favorite Family Activity: Picking flowers, Restaurant eating on Friday nights, Playing marching band and drums together and of course Tickle Bugs!

Favorite pastime: toonies in Mommy and Daddy's room! She loves to come in to our room in the morning and watch cartoons, but we haven't been here for over a week for her to enjoy all the toonies.
If I had a million dollars I would buy: Books, Samara loves to read books all day and all night. She can't go to bed without all the Thomas books in her crib.
Nursery Teachers: MOPS Preschool
Our Pastor: Mark Barnish

ALL ABOUT ME!

I like about myself: Her mouth! If we play the where is game she loves when you say where is your mouth? She just opens as wide as she can too show you her entire mouth.
What do you want to be when you grow up?: big girl
What makes you laugh: playing with Connor and Daddy the tickle game, peek a boo is by far her favorite to make her giggle the most awesomest giggle in the whole world.
What makes you sad: not getting her nuk, not being able to hold a big girls cup, not getting candy, not being able to get in her car seat by herself.
What makes you scared?: Uncle Doug's kitty, Ace. On Thanksgiving day she was loving all the kitties but when Ace got too close she would scream at the top of her lungs. Noooooo, I scarrrriieee!
Thankful for: She says Connor.
Samara's goals: To be going in the big potty within the next two weeks. All on our vacation we had peeing and pooping problems. She just absolutely hates wearing a diaper. We were out by the pool at Gramma's and she kept saying poo-poo and I said no poo- poo and after the third time I lifted up her skirt to see if she had poo and nonetheless no diaper there. We went inside and sure enough there was her poo poo by the chair on the living room hardwoods. (thank goodness they were no carpets)

(Thank you Nickie for the questionnaire! I'm excited to see what next years answers will be!)
