YES, THAT IS WHAT I AM TRYING TO DO....
Not only am I trying to run physically, but I also never stop mentally. On Sunday I ran 3 miles with the Faith and Fitness small group from Crossbridge and was very impressed with myself that I ran 3 miles in 30.15 seconds. I think the last time I ran 3 miles without stopping was two mother's days ago. For some reason I didn't do the race last year and I usually would not train to run if I didn't have a reason to do it. I am very good at walking at least 3-4 miles at a fast pace at least four days a week, but I was determined to be able to do the race this coming Sunday and walking is soooooo much different than running. Now that I did the run and felt my high coming off that great accomplishment I can't wait to get out there and do it again. Tonight I ran two miles on the treadmill, but I hate running alone and yet on a treadmill. So I really need my friend Kim to push me to run at night when the husbands are home and I can get outside. So, Kim when you check my blog next please let me know what nights are good for you so we can run together.
I also feel like I never stop running with the kids either. It is always something that gets us out in the morning. Walking at the park, playdates, library, music, biking, etc. So yesterday I decided that a little me time would be great. My friend started this new business " Moms Morning Out" and my girlfriend and I thought it would be great to be her first customers. I had a great day and the kids did too.
My parents are coming tomorrow so I'm sure our next week or so will be exciting and filled with lots of things to do and places to go. My sister and I are both doing the Race For the Cure on Sunday and then going to her house for a BBQ so hopefully this rain will soon stop. It has been non stop raining for almost a week now and we are all sick of it. I will fill you all in on my great Mother's Day Weekend next week. I am so excited to celebrate such a wonderful day.
... so, hugs and kisses to all those wonderful moms and I hope you all have a great weekend to celebrate the wonderful mom that you all are!
