Well We Are So Happy...

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

We Have So Many Things To Be Happy About And We Thank God Everyday For All Of Our Joys And Blessings!

#1 and of up most importance: "Is Daddy ever going to get out of bed"(Connor)
Part I:
Yes, It has been an awful week for Don and we are so happy he is back to himself and feeling 100% better. It really is very depressing and sad to see someone you love so much having a bad day and truly experiencing pain and sickness. Don had an encounter this past Sunday with his first kidney stone and hopefully his last. We were up for at least 2-3 hours while he was trying to think of all the possible reasons that he was in such terrible pain(and yes it was...pee-pee pain).
Of course as a doctor and all he was rambling off all these terrible things that it could be and
then I said, " hey hunny, did it ever occur to you that it might just be a kidney stone. I have heard that they are worse than labor and maybe you should go to the hospital to get checked." But, if anyone at all knows Don, we all know that he is very strong and would practically have to be on his death bed to go in to the hospital. Having and living with Crohn's Disease since he was 16 has really made his pain threshold virtually not there. So that night for him to be visually in such excruciating pain, I really knew something was not right. So about 2 hours passed and I couldn't do much for him so I decided to just go back to bed, but never really was asleep since I was so worried and then all of the sudden, "Kel, come check this out, says Don" and long and behold it was about a 2x2mm stone with stone debris in the toilet too all broken up. So, we can all imagine how bad that pain was.
Part II: Strep Throat on Monday Morning at work. Don goes into work after a long night of passing a kidney stone and wakes up and can hardly swallow. About two hours into Monday morning the doctors decide he should go home and sleep because he was very pale. He comes home sleeps all day and gets up to go to work Tuesday morning and comes home about three hours later with a huge bulge in his neck(a sebaceous filled lymph node) and fevers, so of course I automatically think swine flu, but he said no, just strep. So he goes to bed and never comes out until Wednesday around 3pm(We all know this is unlike Don and he is very sick). So now finally Wednesday night the Levaqin finally kicks in and he wakes up Thursday morning more like "Daddy". We are so thankful that our prayers worked quick and Daddy is feeling better. He felt so good today that he went to ARBY'S and got two french dip sandwiches(HIGH FIVE, for all you Seinfeld lovers).

#2 It has finally stopped Raining......Need I say More!

Connor decided that he needed to wear his bike helmet to help Daddy fertilize the front yard. We are so excited that we might actually have nice grass this year since we are cutting it ourselves and not using the lawn service who cuts it too short so that it burns.

#3 Our Beckett Association has finally decided to put our $120 x about 205 houses every year to good use. Now we have a great view out our front door. I have lived here for about 6 years now and can finally say that the circle actually looks good. So a big Thank You goes out to the Beckett Assoc. President and Four Seasons Landscaping for all of their hard work today. Connor had a great time walking around the circle on the rocks. He really thought it was so much fun to be able to step on the new landscaping.
