Connor's first Wenonah Swim Meet and the girls at the pool...Fun in the Sun!

Connor joined the swim team this year and he actually really LOVES it! He gets so excited and gets a really big smile on his race right before he dives in the water. He is once again the highlight at the blocks. He hits the block a few times, claps his hands and then smiles really big before he steps up on it. Super funny to watch and I will have to get a video of it at the next meet. This was our first go round at a "real" swim meet and I totally forgot what it was like from when I was a kid. Connor was in event #1, 10, 18 and 41, so there was no escaping early! He picked to swim freestyle and backstroke and then was placed in a medley relay for butterfly and then in the free relay at the end.
Swimmers, take your mark....BEEEP! AND HE'S OFF!

The two hand touch finishing his first 25m butterfly in the boys 8 and under medley relay. It was so exciting to watch him swim. He said tonight that swimming butterfly was more fun than anything else.

Connor and his good buddy Tanner(our old neighbor) talking before the race. Tanner was probably giving him some tips on how to become a great swimmer like him!
Watching the swimmers and waiting for her brother to swim while enjoying her dinner. She loves broccoli and of course in the other hand she can't resist her tootsie roll lollipop!

Looks like Connor will need a little help diving off the block. He looked good at the start off the block but did a complete nose dive into the pool.

Connor's great big smile getting ready for backstroke. Mr. Gandy giving him a little pep talk before he gets in the water.

Samara having a grand old time in the pool! She didn't watch one race that Connor swam in tonight. All she wanted to do was run around with her friend Norah and swim in the baby pool. She played ping pong, basketball, soccer and even stepped foot on the volleyball court but had not one care to watch the swim meet. She is too funny sometimes. A character just like her Daddy for sure!

Our bathing beauty! Just like Pop Pop tells her, she may not be our athlete, but she sure will be that super model one day!

Of course blue lips from her ring pop. She is our candy girl. I did get her to eat a bagel though before she went to bed tonight. We are on night 4 of the kids sleeping in the bunk beds again by themselves. Not to mention that Mommy has been sleeping in the hallway outside their room half the night. They are getting better at going to bed because tonight they were both asleep within 5 mins of hitting the bed. I guess the pool will do that to you! We are loving summer and so glad that we joined Wenonah this year.
