Harrison Township day and our first pets

I took advantage of a beautiful Saturday afternoon and took the girls to the park for Fun Day at Ella Harris Park. The boys wanted to stay home and watch hockey playoffs and baseball!! They missed out on all our fun. We played games, rode a ride and won our first goldfish! Mara immediately was smiling ear to ear. She named him "Goldie" and then switched it to "sparkles" but when we got home he was "Goldie" again! We couldn't leave the park without getting one for Connor too, so we played until we won another goldfish! We picked one with a black stripe and he was so excited when we got home. Connor named him "Hexy" and then decided to switch his name to "striper" but unfortunately he only lived four days! Don was decanted for him to come home and find out that his fish died so he went out and bought two new "beta" fish and new tanks with filters! He always goes over the top but both Connor and Mara really were so excited. Mara gave "Goldie" to Meggie and now we are all one big happy family again!

And... Two days later, Goldie died!
