We spent our day off yesterday by staying really busy all day long. Connor was excited to tell us why he had the day off and said it was "because a long time ago the white people had signs about the black people and they didn't let them together" I tried to explain it to him a little better and then for tonight's homework we cut out an article in the paper discussing how it was a coincidence that president Obama was sworn in on Martin Luther king day! We're not so sure we like the new Obama care and a cut in our checks but happy that hopefully this economy will return to normal sooner than later. As for politics I won't go in to details but will say that we hope a change is in our future and in four years hopefully the republicans can take over again... For the doctors sake!!
We spent the day catching up with great friends! Robin came over with the kids and Abby helped Mara do Mckenna's hair very pretty and the boys played hockey and wii! We all enjoyed hot chocolate and a few too many Girl Scout cookies! I have my own hidden stash of peanut butter patties so Meg doesn't get near them and the big downfall is that there are only two cookies left and I'm the only one who knows where there hiding!! Ugh... Need to get these cookies out of here ASAP!!
After we had a grilled cheese feast for lunch we all headed out to meet Aunt Jess, Peyton and Carson for some roller skating fun with loud music and dancing. Connor is a rollerblading fool and just kept asking to go faster and Mara was very unsure and we had the wheels locked so she could stand and then unlocked because she wasn't able to move anywhere and then she couldn't even stand so we headed right back to locked wheels. Her favorite part of the day was the soda and soft pretzels and the last 5 minutes of "chacha" dancing!!!
