And another thing she has managed to do is to open every drawer in the kitchen and pull whatever she can reach out of it! I had to move all the knives out of the silverware drawer and after she got into all the lip glosses that gramma gave Mara in Mara's kitchen drawer, I had to move them too! She does look cute and even learned how to smack her lips! All three kids have their own drawers with their school work in them in playing cards, calculators, markers, crayons, coloring books and other things that are all theirs. Megs drawer has napkins and plastic silverware that she loves to play with but one day she realized that she could open the other drawers too and that was not good. She got a hold of all the markers and started coloring the floors(thank goodness for washable markers)! Pretty soon her silverware drawer will become her craft drawer but we just have to wait a little bit longer!
Our First Snowfall
of 2013
The kids woke up about 7:15 on Sunday morning and they ran into our room and as soon as they looked out the window they were smiling ear to ear and shouting with excitement as they saw the first snow coating of this winter. It wasn't much but it was enough to jump up and down and run downstairs and get dressed to go outside before 8am. They were only out there for about a half hour before the sun started shining and the snow started quickly melting. I'm glad I let them go out right away because by the time we got home from church you wouldn't have even known that it snowed!
Meg had her first real experience with snow and loved every minute of it. She really just loves anything and everything that Connor and Mara love and if she didn't like it I'm sure she would just pretend that she did because she loves to repeat and do all they do. Tonight in the car the kids told me I took the long way and sure enough two seconds later you hear Meg say, "long way"!
Connor and Mara had a great idea to climb up on the swing set so they could get a cool ride down the slide that was totally frozen!
Our three little snow bunnies! What a priceless and fun morning that was for all of us! I enjoyed every moment of their smiles and the sounds of joy coming from them.

Mara made the first snow angel of the season and it was by far a very beautiful angel! You can see the rays from the sun shining down on us!

Our little Mara for sure has no fear. I have my work cut out for me in the future! She is my little dare devil. She was trying to see how fast she could swing and then let go so she could go faster down the slide!

Mommy pretending to be the photographer! I must say it was a beautiful morning. Just look at the glow in the trees!
