Take me out to the mall, Mom. Take me out to the mall. Buy me some flip-flops, a purse, and tees. Can I get my ears pierced—oh, Mom, please? When it’s time to eat, there’s the food court. We’ll buy CDs on the way. We can shop, shop, shop till we drop at the mall today! Take me out to the mall, Mom. Take me out to the mall. I need nail polish, lip-gloss, hair gel. If I can’t get my ears pierced, oh well! Look at these cool jeans—aren’t they awesome? I need a new pair or two. Love to shop, shop, shop till we drop at the mall with you! So shop, shop, shop is what we all did together as a family and then it was Mara's big day and she finally got her EARS PIERCED! WE are so proud of our big girl! Mara before the extremely big moment...she was so excited and finally decided on her own that she was going to pierce her ears. I have been waiting for this moment for almost five years. Waiting for the time that SHE decided that she wanted to look even more beautiful than she already does. She decided to pick a 3mm cubic zirconia diamond just like what Mommy has she said and oh boy does she sparkle! The oh not so happy I did it moment right after the piercing was finished, she said, "I don't think I want my ears pierced anymore" but we kept showing her pictures of how great they looked and a few moments later she was so happy! We gave her some Tylenol to ease her pain and a few minutes later the tears were dried away and the smile was permanent. She must have asked us 1 million times if her earrings were still in her ears. She was just all smiles and couldn't wait to show off her new sparkles to everyone that walked by us at the shops. We took Mara to the Boardwalk after Icing(the little boutique in the AC Walk Outlets) to go to Rita's so she could get some water ice and we had a nice time eating our water ice, checking out the slots and taking on some views of the beach. Hanging out with the Cactus at the Wild, Wild West Casino enjoying our Rita's Ice. Meggie surely thought this was the best part of the day because our trip to Los Amigos for lunch didn't turn out to be as pleasant as we thought it would be because Meg was so tired. I had an awesome lunch but was hard to enjoy it with a screaming child. Taking in the views on the Atlantic City Beach. Beautiful day and lots of yellow umbrellas out there on the sand. And there you have it, our family back to school shopping event at the AC Walk Outlets and a successful ear piercing beauty Queen to complete our great day! |
