Mimi came to visit last Wednesday and Don was able to take a break from doing work around here and we went to the beach for the day, had a t-ball party here, took the kids for the day so Mommy could go to the shore with her friends and we even fit in a Phillies game(Mara's first). Mimi and I took the kids to Story Book Land and then today we went to the zoo. So, a jam packed week and now I am looking forward to a little break tomorrow when Pop Pop comes to take the kids to lunch.
All I have to say is that I'm glad Mimi was here to help out all week and espeially at the beach. Mara and Connor love to be in the water and Meg is still too little to go in so it is definitely a necessity to have three adults to each kid at this time. I know that I won't be taking the kids by myself anytime soon for sure. We had an awesome day, super hot, warm water and lots of fun in the sun...and sand. We collected about 100 shells and decided that each time we go to the beach we will get more and we are putting them outside by the air conditioneres to fill in the bare spots and then each time we see the shells we will remember all the fun we had at the beach. (Don's idea)
Connor's Tball party and trophy. He had such a great time playing tball and the last two games playing coach pitch and is totally hyped and excited for next year in the big leagues. He is a huge Phillies fan and loves to watch all the games and talk about who his favorite players are how he can be just like them one day in the future. He is constantly looking for a ball to throw around in the house and I don't think one night goes by without him asking to have a game of catch. He is trying to get really good at catching pop ups so he can be a better catcher next year.
Connor was so happy to get his trophy, he couldn't stop smiling, posing for the camera and kissing it.
On our way to the Phillies Game on Sunday...
Phil's came back in the 7th to win it, What a fantastic game!
Uncle Mike and Aunt Emily came over to drop Mimi off and we gave Mike his birthday gift. A new Phillies hat that he really liked. Meg thought it was a great gift too.
Connor showing off his new jersey and today was routing for Chase Utley!
