It's T-ball time!

Well, I know you are all thinking, Hey Kel, where have you been and why haven't you posted in over a week? Well, the answer is that family is here and now gone and t-ball is here and so is soccer and spring time, which means lots of time outside and no time inside on the computer.  We had all our family in from Florida, the in laws and my parents were both here so we were all busy having fun instead of blogging.
So it has been just a few weeks since T-ball has started for Connor and I can already see that it is a whole different world when you start to get involved in sports. Connor decided he wanted to play T-ball and Soccer this Spring so now every weekend  and two nights during the week we are running around playing ball and trying to keep the other two girlies happy while watching Connor excel at his favorite thing in the world that involves some type of ball and physical activity. He is having so much fun with baseball and doesn't like it when I call t-ball baseball because he doesn't think hitting off a tee is actually baseball and what 5 year old would sit there and debate with you that it can't be baseball if you have to hit off a tee, MOM! Well, Mommy says well you are using an actual ball to hit and catch with, right, so it is still baseball! He is too funny. I don't think any of the other kids on the team cared what number they got on their shirts but when it came time to pick a shirt he called out, I want number 6 because that is Ryan Howard's number and he was so excited to put it on tonight. He played first base tonight at practice but it is too cute because his foot was about two feet away from the base and he had his glove out there trying to catch the ball to get the players out. The kids make it so much fun to watch and to enjoy the moments where all the parents are just smiling and enjoying watching the kids having fun becuase we all know that it won't last forever and in the years to come the parents will be screaming at the coaches and yelling at the kids and those happy moments of sports being all about the fun will be gone, so I am trying to enjoy all the happy faces and exciting moments each time we get to the field. This weekend is our opening ceremonies and parade and the kids get to play two innings and then the moms on our team have to run the snack bar between 1 and 2 so if you are at the field I suggest you come at another time because we have no clue how to work the fryers and machines, so good luck to us! I am just so excited to get the games started and our team has such great parents and everyone wants to help out. I am team mom which means I am in charge of keeping everything organized for the parents, so I need to make sure everything is in order: snacks, picture day, hoagie sales, banquet baskets, team name, parade, snack bar help, you name it, I have to make sure everyone knows what is going on. Are team is called the shark-dragons because half the team wanted the sharks and the other boys wanted the dragons so there you have it, 8 completely happy little guys.

It's so hard to capture everyone at the perfect moment, but we had a great time trying to capture great moments and memories. I will post more pictures tomorrow because I am exhausted and have just listened to Meggie cry for 45 minutes and she is refusing to go back to sleep. Who ever said sleep training is easy... I think Mommy has created another monster, she only wants to sleep in my bed!
