LORDY,LORDY,PUMPKIN GORDY, DON IS FORTY!

 WONDERFUL YEARS OF BEING THIRTY!

DON WILL ALWAYS
BE A KID AT
HEART!
THE JOKES NEVER
END, THEY ONLY
GET BETTER WITH
TIME!
AND AS YOU GET OLDER, LIFE JUST KEEPS
GETTING BETTER AND BETTER!
WE LOVE YOU
DADDY, EVEN IF YOU ARE OVER THE HILL!
IT'S TIME TO SAY GOODBYE TO ALL THOSE WONDERFUL YEARS OF BEING IN YOUR THIRTIES AND WELCOME ALL THE GREAT YEARS TO COME IN YOUR FORTIES!

The Ripe Young Age Of Forty
Aren't you tired of all the jokes
Of the people yelling "lordy, lordy"
All because you're turning
the ripe young age of forty?

Oh how you thought you knew it all
Well, you sure as heck knew plenty
And you put it all to use real good
At the ripe old age of twenty

And when it came to romance
You were awfully awfully flirty
No one could hold a candle to you
When you were all of thirty

But now they say you're older
And breaking down doesn't feel so nifty
But how much worse will it be
In ten years when you turn fifty?

Yes, you still have aches and pains
Always asking the doctor to "please fix me"
Could you please stop your whinin' though?
You sound like you've just turned sixty!

Well, take a deep breath and relax my friend
And tonight when you drift off into slumber
Forget about having just turned forty
Afterall, it's just a number
THAT'S RIGHT EVERYONE DON TURNED 40 TODAY!

WHO WOULD HAVE EVER GUESSED THAT HE WAS GOING TO BE FORTY LOOKING AS GOOD AS HE DOES. HE BARELY LOOKS 30. JUST THOSE GOOD OLD MCMAHON GENES KICKING IN.
We celebrated his birthday today and the kids and I decorated the kitchen for a surprise for Daddy so when he got home from work he would be greeted with all our decorations and presents. He was very excited that we went all out. We all had such a great time celebrating. I got Don a massage for his birthday and the kids got him new work clothes and some everyday clothes as well. Of course, Connor spoiled the surprise by telling him that he can wear everything to work before he even opened the boxes. We made a yummy spice cake and Connor and I decorated it together. I did most of the decorating and Connor did most of the tasting of the icing. Pop Pop came over for dinner and I made shrimp scampi and then after we ate Don and I headed out for the flyers game. It was our first game of the season and they actually won. Horray, must mean good things to come for the next Forty years!
A day after the most heartless on-ice effort the team has put forth this young season, the odds of a much-needed rebound victory weren’t in their favor.

But somehow on Tuesday, the stars aligned for the recently floundering Flyers. Despite a slow start, they knocked home three power play goals, and took down the Sabres, 6-3.
It was an exciting game and we had a lot of fun cheering on the Flyers to victory.
HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY, BABE. LOVE YOU!
