Connor very intensely playing his Nintendo DS with Mommy along side of him watching before bed.
Meghan's first time playing on her playmat and really looking at the ding a lings and smiling back at herself in the mirror. Just another one of the many great firsts that she will have. I actually just ordered 200 pictures on Shutterfly to start her scrapbook and used my pampers points so they were free. Yippee! Can't wait to start working on her book.
Connor having fun sitting behind all the pillows from the living room that he collected so he would be comfy cozy on the couch.
Connor's first Homework assignment. They were studying the letter "H" this week at school so only appropriate to have Homework as part of learning the letter "H". He had to draw a picture of everyone in his family and then fill in the missing numbers and letters and write a row of lowercase a's. It was really cute to see him do it and Pop Pop helped him too.
Mara having fun while Connor is at school with a play date. She likes to have play dates usually on Wednesdays when Connor is having lunch bunch. Here her and Teigan are playing dolls and Mara is pretending to be the baby in Megs pack and play on the changing table. She loves to get in the bassinet part when I change Megs diapers and she always wants to help wipe her after I am done. The girls are really cute playing Mommy and baby. Its crazy to think that just a few years ago I was changing her on this table and now she is so big and growing up so fast.
So if you are wondering what a normal day in our life looks like right now with a 4,3, and 2 month old I figured I would share my everyday routine with you all so that you would know why I haven't been blogging as much. Not only is it so routine that I often don't even bring out the camera because it seems like everyday turns into being the same. Just different clothes, different outfits, and different food.
Wake up time: 7am we are allowed to get out of bed. Although Mara thinks it should be 6am but we make her watch her dvd player for an hour until we are ready to get up. We try to all get dressed, brush our teeth and comb our hair before we even go down so we don't have to walk back up again. I am usually successful with the kids and lots of time Mommy is driving Connor to school in her pj's with a hoodie on to hide my shirts. Ha,ha!
Breakfast: the usual bagel, oatmeal, bannanas, cereal or if they are lucky and its a good morning we have Mickey Pancakes.
After breakfast is cleaned up: rush out for Preschool if it is a school day and if not we go in the basement to play basketball, roller skate, play hockey or now the new game is playing tennis. So glad we don't have a finished basement. Lately they are riding tricycles and scotters too.
Lunch time: anywhere between 11 and 12 and it usually is soup or cheese sandwiches or tuna.
In between lunch and nap it is down time and we watch a show and Mommy cleans the house, does about 3 loads of laundry and thinks about dinner.
oh and I totally forgot all my stops to tend to Megs. 7am morning feeding one to two diaper changes and get dressed for the day, then nap, 11am feeding followed by more diapers and another nap, etc. How could I ever forget our little Meg.... who used to keep me up all night, but our new routine of Don feeding her a bottle at midnight has helped a bunch. Haven't yet broke down to use formula, just keeping my fingers crossed.
Nap time: ALLELUIA! YAY FOR MOMMY! Can't stress enough that my three year old is still using her nuk but is still taking at least a two hour nap. It used to be three hours but lately is only two, but hey I will take it. It is a much needed break and time to catch up on coupon clipping, organizing, preparing dinner or just straightening up. Connor is great he usually helps me or plays independently with his football and cars or buzz toys and then we go back in the basement for round two of playing which is usually a game of basketball with me being the black ball(the losing team) and Connor being the orange ball(the winning team) and then Mara wakes up and we wait for Daddy to come home. Meg sometimes naps at the same time but if not she is gladly swinging away in her swing. She is starting to go bald in the back of her head, but at least she likes the swing.
4pm: I usually am calling Don and saying are you coming home soon because Mommy needs you and is starting to go a little crazy... we start looking out the windows and sitting on the heater vents waiting to hear the car pull up in the driveway and then the kids try to hide or run and scream surprise to welcome Daddy home.
5-6pm: Dinner, another crazy hour because Meg always wants to eat when we sit down and then I get up and feed her and then scarf my food down. Luckily Don cleans up every night and I get the kids ready for bed in PJ's. Connor and Don play a game of football or baseball and then its time to read books, play DS and go to bed. Most nights Mommy is falling asleep with Connor becuase the day is tiring and then I get up a few times to feed, change and cuddle Megs.
All in all, it is always a good day, filled with lots of fun activities, play dates, running around in between our daily routine to Shoprite, Target, or seeing friends. Our calendar is always full and I love to get out but also love staying in jammies all day too. I started running again so I am up to 3.2 miles now on the dreaded treadmill and can only run when Don gets home early because if he doesn't get home early then I am too tired to do it.
So hopefully you all understand now why the blogging is lacking but realize that we are still enjoying our days, having fun, smiling, laughing, playing, sometimes crying or going crazy but enjoying our everyday to do and our family of five!
