Our Little Megs is One Month Old

....TIME SURE IS FLYING BY

 Meghan leaving the hospital one month ago...
and now Meghan all bundled up  going with the flow everyday...
in the car, out of the car!

Things our little Megs likes to do these days:

Meghan's Top 10 

1. Poop

2. Eat and suck on my nuk!

3. Sleep on my Mommy

4. Be all swaddled up in cozy blankets

5. grunt

6. cry

7. lift my head for at least 10 seconds

8. open my eyes and be alert for at least a period of two hours.

9. Be cuddled by my big brother and big sister.

10. swing in my swing all day and night, too!

 So over the past month Meghan has grown so much. Just look at those chubby cheeks(makes you just want to squeeze them and give them lots of kisses and we are doing a lot of kissing on those cheeks). Meghan is about 7 1/2 lbs now and is still fitting in newborn clothes and newborn diapers, but I have started putting her in some of the 0-3 and 3 months clothes just because you get sick of looking at the same outfits everyday. Meghan has been blessed by so many people and has received an abundance of clothes and her birth has brought us tons of meals and goodies. It will be December 15th tomorrow and that will be the last day of the best gift in the world(people bringing us meals). We have been so grateful to have such wonderful friends and be a part of such a great church. Meghan is beginning to be on more of a schedule as far as eating and bedtime routine go. She usually goes down to sleep at around 9pm and wakes up at 2am for a feeding and then starts to squirm at around 5 or 6 but I am able to hold her off from eating until around 7am. She is still sleeping a lot during the day but does have periods where she is awake and very alert for at least 2-3 hours at a time mostly at night around 5-7. The kids seem to be adjusting well to having the baby around and are a big help when Mommy needs them to help get diapers or put the nuk back in her mouth.

As far as my oldest baby, he is still sleeping with his teddy and some nights he still sleeps with his blankie, but lately has been trying to give it to Mara and Meghan. He said he doesn't need his blanket anymore. He just looks so comfy and cozy, but of course he still isn't sleeping in his awesome flyers room and is sleeping with us in our bed. We are hoping after Christmas to try to get him back in his room, but he just doesn't want to sleep in there. He said when he is five he will go in there, so we will see, only 2 months until that big 5 comes. I am sad to report that Connor is definitely showing that he is growing up. He no longer wants to watch Sprout or even his favorite show Cailou that he has watched every night for the past year. If I ask him what he wants to watch he says anything on Nick Jr., that is his favorite channel right now and he even likes to watch shows like Batman. We put on the Polar Express the other night and I couldn't believe that he sat there for the entire movie and didn't say one word, but was just in awe of the movie. He totally loved it and is very excited for Christmas this year.

And as far as Mara goes, well she's just Mara. Some days you gotta love her and others well you wonder how did we decide to have another baby! She is still in her fascination of loving butter and here she is at the breakfast with Santa eating well, just butter! She has been having somewhat of a rough time adjusting to Mommy always holding and feeding Meghan. I have been trying hard to do things with just her and on Tuesdays Connor has been playing soccer with the little boy down the street and we try to have Mommy and Mara time on those days. Today we put the mats on the basement floor and made it like a makeshift play area and it turned out well.  Mara is really into her baby dolls these days. She loves to use all the diapers and change the baby's. I always wondered why my niece always had naked dolls laying around and I guess now I know why because that is exactly what I see going on over here. Naked barbie dolls and babies everywhere. She still loves to have a ton of stuff in her bed while she sleeps at night and has even snuk up a few of the christmas stuffed snowmen to sleep with too. Mara is still giving me totally awesome naps for 2-3 hours everyday and loves to read 2-3 books at night and then her bible.

This way when the kids want to run around and play they can go down there and make a mess instead of doing it upstairs and scratching all the floors. Well, thats it for now. In a nutshell, having three kids is taking a little bit of juggling, but things are going pretty smoothly and I am getting it all down, but I just can't seem to have enough hours in the day to blog about how great each day is.

Breakfast with Santa

 I tried to do a little photo shoot before the breakfast but Meghan wasn't too happy that I was trying to take her picture when she wanted to sleep.

 Connor was so excited to see the Grinch. He just kept smiling and running around trying to find him.

We decided on a whim to check out the breakfast with Santa at Connor's elementary school that he will be attending next fall for kindergarten. The kids got to see Santa and the grinch and had pancakes, bacon and sausage for breakfast. They both did really good with sitting on his lap and we all had a good time.  We finally decorated the rest of the house and finished the decorations on the tree. It definitely feels like the Christmas spirit around here. We even decided to put up the artificial tree in the dining room so it would be more festive for Christmas dinner. I am really excited for Christmas this year. I can't wait to make our Gingerbread house on Christmas Eve and wrap all the presents to put under the tree. What a great year this will be with our awesome family of five!
