On Saturday we were invited to a birthday party at the OC Boardwalk and everyone had such a great time. Unfortunately, Don was finishing his last call weekend as a fellow so he couldn't make it down with us, but Uncle Andy changed his train times and thank goodness was able to come along. I don't know what I would have done without him. I think it brought him back to his childhood and he had just as much fun as the kids. I know being pregnant I wasn't able to go on hardly any rides with the kids which was a total bummer, but the kids had a blast with him and they both said their favorite ride was the big Ferris wheel. Connor and Mara were amazed that they could see all of the beach, the big buildings, and everything from up top. I seriously thought Connor would chicken out, but he saw his little sister on it first and then changed his mind so Uncle Andy got to ride it twice in a row. Connor even went on the little roller coaster and the log flume which he loved too. Mara, of course went on the carousel twice and she just loves to go on rides and has no fear of anything....my kind of girl. When I was a kid I loved all roller coasters and my first ride was space mountain in Disney. I'm sure next year she will be right there along my side riding that if she is big enough.
The kids got to feel the sand on their feet for the first time this year and didn't want to leave. Mara of course wanted to go in the water so I had to put up a fight with her and hopefully soon we will be at the beach before we know it. So, a huge thanks to the Keith's for inviting us to Ty's and Sully's birthday party becuause it was a big success and everyone had tons of fun. Now that you probably need to blow up the pictures to see what is going on, check out the picture with Connor and Uncle Andy on the roller coaster....a true great picture moment. He is having so much fun and has his arms up in the air catching the breeze as the coaster goes down the hill. Just totally awesome!
