Busy Weekend!

We started our weekend off to a morning visiting the Woolwich Fire Station hosted by the Moms Club. All the kids had fun learning all about all the different firetrucks and gear and they even got to explore and sit inside the trucks. Connor had a blast with his buddies Lauren and Michael. Mara was very content being held by Mommy and. I think the size of the trucks scared her away just a little bit. After the fire station we headed out to look at some houses, but still not much luck. We are still going back to the first house we saw about a month ago and hoping that when we sell it is still on the market. We did get our first offer on our house but it was 15,000 less than what we are listed for so we counter offered and are still waiting to hear. Don and I are not in any rush to give our house away and since we don't desperately need to move, we are just going to wait it out. Hey if November comes and we are still here then so be it. God just had it in his plan for us to save more money before moving forward. We got the dreaded phone call today from the loan officers on Don's school loans and his private loan is due starting June 15th which is the small one so not that bad, but the biggie starts August 1st. The dreaded mortgage payment on top of a mortgage payment. We had a very relaxing Sunday with more showings on the house so more driving around looking at houses. After we got home, Mara took a nap and I took Connor to buy a few things for our trip and get my necklace fixed at the jewelers. I can't believe our vacation is coming up so soon. It is a much needed stress reducer that I am in desperate need of. I do feel bad that my parents are going to have to battle the stress of keeping the house in perfect condition while we are gone in case of a showing, but I'm sure they can handle it. This week we are keeping busy with the heat, playdates, work and a fun Memorial Day Weekend. Hopefully the kids will get some pool time in the backyard and we will be doing a lot of grilling. THEY ARE HEADED TO THE STANLEY CUP THEREFORE IF OUR BABY IS A BOY THE MIDDLE NAME WILL BE RICHARDS AFTER THE CAPTAIN OF THE TEAM JUST LIKE CONNOR'S CLARKE AFTER THE CAPTAIN OF THE STANLEY CUP WAY BACK WHEN! 

Don is very excited to be going to all the games and said last night was just pure excitement all around and when I questioned him about Richards' touching the trophy he said that the last time they made it to the cup and didn't touch it they lost and the other team touched it and won so that is the irony behing that if you were wondering why it is such bad luck to touch the trophy and they did anyway. Now hopefully it works on their side because Chicago's captain did not touch the trophy!
