I have been meaning to write a post on all the play dates that Connor goes on now with out Mommy being there. It really makes him seem so much more grown up. I was really brave one day when my friend Tracie wanted all the kids to go to the park because it was the first day that our 65+ inches of winter time snow had finally disappeared and the sun was actually shining and the weather felt a little warmer, but of course I had to work so I made the decision that Natalie could pick him up and take him to the park to ride his bike with his friends. When they got to the park the wind was crazy so they decided to just go to Nat's court and they all had a great time riding bikes together. Connor mostly plays with all the kids from our first original moms club playgroup. He loves to see Karly and Gabby because we don't get to see them all that much(Tracie(Gabby's mom) works fulltime and only has off on Mondays and Karly is in preschool now) and we don't really see Mason much anymore, but when they do see each other everyone has a good time. Hopefully we will see more of Court's clan when the weather breaks. He has started doing play dates with my friend Gwen's son about every other Wednesday or so and it is good for him to be in an environment with out me present. This way he can learn to listen to other grown ups. He also loves to go to Lauren's house and have her come here for play dates, too. It gives us moms a break and they have a good time together. Every Friday the kids go to Amanda's house for a work out swap. Amanda goes to the gym for a while and I go for my long 8-10 mile run while Mara takes her nap there and Connor and Tyson beat up on each other. Today I had to leave because they were just not having a good day and it had only been about an hour and a half that they were together. Sometimes they just but heads and are just too rough. They like to run around in circles and have pillow fights and then someone gets upset and it all comes tumbling down into a big commotion of tears and screaming. Of course Amanda and I still love our Friday exercise gig so we don't plan on stopping because our boys are CRAZY!
