But we will start with a number one fun day in the eyes of Connor and Mara...
OUR HAYRIDE TO THE PUMPKIN PATCH!
OUR HAYRIDE TO THE PUMPKIN PATCH!
Don was able to capture this amazing picture of the kids looking out of the maze onto the tractor that would take us to pumpkin land. We visited Magueri Farms today to go get our pumpkins and have a little fall fun. The kids had so much fun running through the haystack maze and then finding treasures in the haystack treasure pile. They were throwing tons of hay up in the air and laughing all the while having fun. The farm does a great job geared towards the little ones and is super inexpensive. The hayride cost us $2 each and Mara was free. We got three pumpkins to take home so we can carve on Halloween. Connor and Mara got to explore the hay and then after we got back from the tractor ride they decorated their pumpkins with stickers and markers.Connor is running to catch the tractor, fearful that it just may pull away without him on it. Tractor, Tractor, Here I come!
Connor is showing off our only pumpkin that made it this year in our garden. I didn't think pumpkins looked good in green, but hey I was reading Better Homes and Gardens and on the cover was a green pumpkin, so I guess they are trendy. I think if we left it just a little longer it would have eventually turned orange. Next year we will have to get the seeds in the ground much earlier, but it sure was fun watching our pumpkin grow. Connor helped me mow the lawn today and clean up the yard. We took apart the garden, which is always a little sad, it is a sign that winter is on its way. We sure did get a lot of veggies out of it this year and can't wait for an even bigger harvest next year. Thank you so much Gramma and Grampa for all the wonderful seeds and fun you gave the kids this year with our garden. I know the kids really enjoyed seeing everything grow and especially loved picking fresh vegetables everyday to eat in our salads and with our meals.

We were there today, just a little earlier! It was really cute, and Lauren loved picking her pumpkin.
