A Birthday Celebration, Fun with Family, and Facepainting!

A fun filled day playing in the sunshine, walking freely....

too cute!

The Smith Playground Birthday Party!
Baby Nicolas's 1st Birthday Celebration at Smith Memorial Park & Playground!
First off a very Happy Birthday to our cousin Nicolas, we wish him a very Happy year with many happy memories to make! If you have never been to the Smith Playhouse, I highly recommend it. It is very close to the Art Museum and is free to visit with a donation. If the weather was a little cooler we probably would have stayed longer, but their is not air conditioning inside the playhouse and it was over 90 degrees today. The playground is open Tuesdays - Sundays from 10-4pm and a new tot lot opens this coming Wednesday. The park is part of the West Fairmont Park grounds so you might have a hard time googling it if you just look up Smith park.

The kids had a great time playing at the indoor playhouse and out on the playground. The highlights at the party were the face painting and the great wooden slide that made you exercise before you went down it. It seriously was a 1/4 mile winding walk before you reached the top of the slide. The kids were smiling and laughing all the way down. Even us big kids had fun! I probably would have went down by myself a few more times if I had an extra hand(that is if Don were there and not working)!

Time for some Face Painting fun...
getting ready to pick our colors!

It is so nice to have the cousins playing together and enjoying themselves. Ryan and Monica put on a fun party for the kids filled with pizza, all kinds of chips, fruit, cupcakes and even ice cream cups. The kids got to each get their face painted and adults too and then they all got balloons of doggies or swords!

After the playland we had to stop by Pop-Pops to show him the roaring tiger and the beauty princess! Mara didn't sit too well so we glittered her nose and hands.
Mommy and Monica's face paintings!
