THAT IS A HALF MARATHON!
My sister and I are singed up to do the Philadelphia Distance Run on September 20th. Just two days before my 32nd birthday. What a great goal for me to look forward to. I have always wanted to continue running after highschool, since playing soccer and running indoor track used to keep me in shape. After that I stopped running and have just been bouncing around to different gyms and taking on other forms of exercising. Ever since I had Connor, I tried to go to the gym and it just became a waste of money. So, now that I got back into racing and was happy with my finish time on the Race for the Cure, I am determined to do more miles and more races. This was a big week for me as I did my longest runs thus far. On Tuesday, I ran my first four miles and today I ran a WHOPPING SIX MILES! YEAH ME! Thanks to my friend Kim who is helping me train and sending me guidelines for training for a half marathon and keeping a log, I will be finishing that race on September 20th in pain or not. So I will keep you all posted as I travel on this running journey and completing one of my goals on my bucket list.
