calm before the storm

 seriously since we totally got lucky with this storm we wanted to have some pre-storm damage down on the ground just in case. The tree guy stopped by tonight to get some of the branches and organize them to be put in the shredder tomorrow. Can't wait to see what the yard looks like after the branch clean up.

I was worried about our trees so I contacted the closest tree service to our house last week and had him come out to take a look and we decided that we were going to take the tree closest to the house down since it keeps losing branches and takes up a good portion of the only spot of grass we have in the backyard and he said sure no problem I will take the tree down, clean the branches out of the woods and take the hanging branches  along the driveway and clean up the stump and grind roots for a great price of $350.00. Considering that my last estimate was $650 for just the tree I booked him and then he called on Friday to make sure all was a go for next week and I mentioned being a little nervous about the hurricane and he said its not going anywhere but I can take it down for you tonight.....WHAT... TONIGHT!  So he came by and it's down. Clean up will be next week which is fine because I'm sure there will be a ton of more branches down in the woods anyway.
Of course when Bill came to take the tree down he didn't know he would have a cheering section during the take down. The kids thought it was the coolest thing they have ever seen.
