Our Trip to LBI

We had a great trip to LBI with beautiful sunsets, early morning rises, yummy donuts, exciting times on the beach and lots of relaxing at the beach house.

Places we visited on LBI

Marvel Donuts

We were told that Marvel Donuts was a must do while on vacation so the kids at first glance were addicted. We took them the first day and then Mimi and Poppy brought them everyday that they were visiting. Mommy gained three pounds from all the donuts and buns she ate but they were worth every bite...mmmmm so delicious.

Mara sure loves her ice cream with rainbow sprinkles. She was gettin' down with her cream!

The Beach
all day, every day...

Connor at the beach
skinborarding, digging, flying kites, swimming, riding waves, boggie boarding, playing baseball, hanging with Aiden, splashing with Daddy, tiring out Mimi and Poppy and much, much more!

I sent Connor down to the water to rinse off Meg's nuk and this is the way he returned it to me. Man, brings back memories of when he was a baby and I thought he would really still have that thing at five years old. Now, since we have been home Meg refuses to take it and when I try to give it to her she just spits it right out. She must think the thing still has sand all over it and decided that her thumb is much cleaner so she will just suck that instead.

Samara at the beach
dancing, flying kites, swimming, collecting shells, building castles, eating, playing with Mommy and Meggie, hanging with Daddy, splashing with Mimi and Poppy, twirling all around all day long!

Mommy had a lot of fun sporting Mimi's hat the days that they were here visiting. I have looked all over for the perfect beach hat and have never found one that fits as great as this one. I told my Mom that I want one just like this for Christmas. The most perfect beach hat and Samara loved it just as much as me. "Like Mother, Like Daughter"

Samara sure loves to have her own fun no matter what she is doing she is having her own kind of fun. Whether it be swirling around, dancing, sticking her tongue out, talking to herself, having an imaginary conversation replaying all the things I say to her and tell her to do and not to do(it is hysterical to listen to her and say to myself, I can't believe that she is actually repeating me word for word). One thing the other day that really made Don and I laugh is that we were on our way home from BJ's and talking about our trip and out of no where she says, oh when we stayed at Mr.Serico's beach house. How she even remembers that's whose house we stayed at when she has only met him once in her life and actually remembered his name just amazes me. She really is a stickler and a smart one at that.I think Mara wins the award for the person who got the most sand in her bathing suit while on vacation. I am still trying to get it out of her suits.

Meggie at the beach
eating sand, sleeping, getting her feet wet, eating oranges, getting lots of loving from Mimi and Poppy, going for lots of rides in the carrier, lots of  Mommy and Mara time!

Meggie enjoying her first taste of an oragne. She definitely thought it was yummy. Not so yummy a few hours later though if you know what I mean.

Meg waving hello to mommy taking a million pictures of everyone on the beach. She had a few firsts on this vacation. She can now crawl, wave hello, eat little pieces of what ever we are eating, and even her first time eating sand and enjoying every minute of it.
