HAPPY HALLOWEEN! TWICK OR TREAT!

IT'S HALLOWEEN
It's Halloween! It's Halloween!
The moon is full and bright
And we shall see what can't be seen
On any other night.
Skeletons and ghosts and ghouls,
Grinning goblins fighting duels,
Werewolves rising from their tombs,
Witches on their magic brooms.
In masks and gowns we haunt the street
And knock on doors for trick or treat.
Tonight we are the king and queen,
For tonight it's Halloween!

We decided to go trick or treating over Pop-Pop's house this afternoon instead of going back to our old neighborhood. We had every intention on going there but with everyone being sick and Mara not feeling 100% we thought it would be better if we just went to Pop-Pop's and this way the kids could go to all the houses on the block and then relax back at Pop-Pops and hand out candy to the trick or treaters. It was the best choice by far. The kids had an absolute blast, Pop-Pop was ever so surprised to see us and take the kids to all his neighbors houses and when they got tired we went back, the kids immediately got changed and they had a blast handing out candy in their Christmas PJ's. People thought that since they were dressed alike that they were little elves for Halloween, but little did they know that was just a fake. Nothing but looking like twins and being super comfy! I made a pork roast in the crockpot today so we packed that up and ate it at Pop - Pop's. It was a great Sunday dinner and overall a super fun Halloween. I told Don the one thing we didn't do this year that  went off of our usual tradition was carve a pumpkin. We all have been feeling so crappy from our bad colds that nobody had the energy to get it started! We did have three little trick or treaters before we left, so I was glad I bought the big candy bars to share with our little friends. It was actually a little girl from Connor's class that lives down the street.  The kids were exhausted after eating tons of candy and walking the block that when we got home, Mara went right to sleep singing rockabye to here babies and Connor actually asked if he could sleep in his own bed and watch his dvd player. Such amazement to us, but he did it and is sound asleep in his own bed right now. I'm sure he will come calling for us in a few hours, but this is a HUGE step for him. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of our big boy!
night, night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite! Love you sleepy head!
Love,
