1inch of Snow = Staying home and Potty Training!

Today was day one of intense Potty Training
So, I know you are all wondering how it went:
  • From 9:30(time when I decided "what am I waiting for, today is the perfect day) to nap time Mara only had one accident(poopie on floor)
  • we only went through one pull up during her nap, she woke up wet, but not soaked through her clothes, so that is a plus.
  • No accidents from 2:30pm until bedtime tonight.
  • she pee-peed in the potty about 10 times today
  • She actually was getting ready for bed and I was putting her pj's on and she said to me poo-poo(which right now just stands for pee-pee) and I brought her to the potty and she did have to pee.
  • so all day she was bottom less, no pants, no diaper, but definitely got the idea very quickly.
  • as for bedtime, she has a pull up on and at 7am we will start all over again.
  • HOORAY FOR MARA!
What did we actually do all day!
We danced, danced, danced...
The easiest way to keep her walking around without any pants on was to get out her tutu and let her prance around all day so that when she had to pee she could just turn around and sit right on the potty that was in the middle of the floor. Ever since Peyton got her stage for Christmas Connor has been running around singing Hannah Montana and even likes to watch her show(which is way to old for him, but he just likes when her music comes on). We put on kids music on the tv and had hours on end of dancing and singing. Mommy got a few minutes to update quicken, prepare a new budget that we need to stick to, and clip more coupons. Don't pass up the great deal at Acme this week! Get clipping!(hot coupon world.com)

Then we played dress up. They kept switching outfits and just having a great time.
Mara is definitely being a girly girl these days, but still playing with match box cars. It was really cute how she runs around saying tinkbell dress and pushing her cart that is completely filled with cars. She is loving brushing the my little pony hair and her new baby dolls hair, too. And before I forget she actually let me brush her teeth the other day. She would never let me near her mouth unless I held her down. So we are making progress in her second year!

These few pictures are from yesterday morning when I was getting the kids dressed Connor said, " Mara, you are so beautiful, Mommy I don't look that pretty, do I"
It was just so adorable. He always compliments me and Mara in the morning when we are dressed in more than play clothes. Of course, everyday all he asks for is his jersey. He wants to wear it all the time. So today I had to tell him that he couldn't because it does need cleaning once and a while!
Well doing my budget, not buying diapers will really help!
SO KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED, FOR SUCCESS!
