We had a great day playing together today! Despite the really cold temperatures, we were greeted with a light snowfall this morning. But, it didn't last very long. Connor was really excited to be able to wear his boots in hope that the snow would last, but unfortunately it went away as quick as it fell. We went to MOPS this morning and then did some quick shopping at Target. To my surprise getting out of there with out buying any "big ones" as Connor would call them. My new way to get out of stores without buying any toys is to say they are all gone at this store, so lets try another store and then he quickly forgets when we get in the car. Don't know how long this game will work, but at least it is going good so far. We bought invitations for Connor's playgroup birthday party, which is quickly approaching us. We can't believe he will be 3 years old. He is growing up so fast and with such a great imaginative mind. Which brings us to our little tea party today. We waited for Mara to wake up from her nap before our party, so we had about 21/2 hours to find something to keep us busy so we decided to organize our toy bins since they were on sale at Target we bought two more bins to keep things in somewhat of an organized manner. Connor was amazing at getting everything into the right bins. He knew more of which toys went together and what should go in each bin. Connor has 8 bins now labeled with what should be in each bin and Mara has the one center bin. So we can see here who is dominating in toys. Poor Mara!
Well to our fun tea party, after playing doctor(which Mara loves to do all day), we set out our paper plates, got out our party hats and started pouring! It was a great way to all interact together and it really shows the kids how to share and play with one another. Connor would put one piece of food on each of our plates and then give us each a cup of tea. It was really cute and very precious.
Oh, and by the way my resloutions are going just as I had planned! I don't want to brag or anything, but I am really into making a list and being able to cross it off. So this may not be in the order that I intended to make things happen, but I went to church last sunday, I installed quicken and consolidated bills(the money is to the penny), We can happily say we haven't charged one cent, We have a date night set up for next Saturday night(Yeah!), and Connor and I organized our toy bins with labels inside each bin. We threw out about 15-20junk pieces of toys(mostly mcdonald's happy meal items), YES! we do eat that crap... sometimes you have to admit that nothing beats McDonald's cheeseburger and french fries. Well probably everybody besides the toilet an hour later. Ha, Ha!

And way to go on the new years resolutions--you can teach me a few things! Let's get together maybe the first week in Feb sometime? How does that look for you? We can talk through facebook if you want!
Also, I just have to say Amen to the McDonalds note! It's true, although, I"m more of a Wendy's person, because I like their 99 cent menu better! :) Love ya girl!
