October Trunk or Treat

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
TRUNK OR TREAT
SOUTH HARRISON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
OCTOBER 24, 2014

We all had such a fun time at our first school Trunk or Treat event. We have heard about it from years past and finally decided to take the kids. It's the first year Meggie can actually stay awake past 7pm. We are so glad we went because the kids really had a great time. We decorated our trunk with all the Halloween decorations that we have in the house. I bought some extra goblins and some cobwebs and it really turned out awesome. Everyone loved our glow in the dark skull. The McMahon Clan Trunk "Trick or Treat"

Our little lollipop fairy. Samara loves everything Candy. Her eyes light up at the sound of hearing the word "candy" and when I saw this costume last year, I knew it would be completely fitting for her this year. She is the queen of candy in this house. Don used to call it candy Saturdays because I won't let them eat it during the school week and it would be a special treat to go to the dollar store or cvs on Saturdays to pick out their favorite candy. After a little while we stopped having candy Saturdays but she still loves when she can eat it. I think she got about 80 pieces of candy at Trunk or Treat and its only Monday and I can bet there are only about 10 pieces total left in her bag that she has been wearing and carrying around strapped to her back. If it weren't for school she would probably never put the bag down.

Connor wanted to be an army soldier this year. He has really been into the army gear ever since pop-pop gave him his old army helmet last year. He's played army in the woods with his friends, he's been to POP"s shop in Swedesboro to get a new outfit and dogtags and he loves to dress up and have pretend gun fights in the house and make believe that he is in a battle or war. We tried to get him to smile, but he said he was looking like a tough soldier.

Our three cuties. They are all getting so big. I can remember like yesterday our first Halloween in this house. Connor was four and Samara was almost 3 and Meg was just a bun in the oven. It's crazy how fast the time goes by. We love the memories we are making here on Foxhaven lane!

This year has been everything about Princess and Frozen for Meghan. She loves to sing and dance and knows all the words to "let it go". She couldn't wait to be Elsa for Halloween. She is in love with twirling her wand and dancing around like the little princess that she is. We can't wait to see the glow on her face in Disney world next week.

Meg is singing in this picture, too!

Connor is playing the dead soldier here on our front porch. Great imitation of the fallen warrior.
He loves to watch movies about war, listen to pop-pops war stories and read books about war. He is definitely going to be a big history buff when he grows up. Just like his Daddy and Gramma.

Connor and his best friend, Dillon. Dillon was a scary clown. These boys have a friendship that will last forever. They are like the brothers that neither of them have. Its great to see them together all the time. They are constantly looking out for eachother. If one goes down on the soccer field, the other one is there picking him up!

Vanessa, Meggie and Lilia. Megs little neighborhood girlfriends. Vanessa is her best friend and they play so great together. They are constantly planning their first sleepover. So maybe for Meg's 5th birthday next year her wish will come true.

Meghan with her two girlfriends. We did a little trunk or treating but Meggie was scared of all the spooky cars. They loved this car the best! After a few trunks the girls came back in our car and watched Sophia the first and ate all their candy!
We can't wait for the rest of our Halloween celebrations! Just a few more days until Halloween and the big parade at school and a fun night of trick or treating!
We hope you all have a SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN too.
BOO!
