Our vacation to Punta Gorda

August 2013, Family Vacation to Mimi and Poppy's in Punta Gorda! 

We visited Mimi and Poppy in Florida this past week and the kids really had a great time. Although it rained every single day, "August Florida rain", in the afternoon it didn't stop us from having fun! Some highlights from our trip:

Pool scuba diving, fishing, snorkeling, boating, kayaking, swimming, reading, lounging, playing UNO, watching little league baseball everyday, shopping for back to school clothes, finding out that Opus restaurant is terrible, river walks, seeing an alligator in the harbor, mommy catching fish laying down, Mosquitos, lots of Popsicles, eating a ton of snacks, margaritas,  Malibu melonis, nachos, popcorn, m&m's, potty training(non successful), walking the girls 4 miles around the golf course while pushing the stroller, the Siesta Key beach, floating in the ocean, Connor bonding with poppy at the scuba store and McDonald's, a trip to the mall, Marshall's, meeting Charlotte from London, blueberry pancakes, super good kids on plane rides, dunking donuts, splash  zone at the Laishley fountains, Peace river park with poppy, charlotte saving Meggie, one fish...two fish... Three fish.... Sheepshead... Catfish...redfish..., carousel rides at the mall with Mimi and much, much more fun and SUNSHINE :)

Day one:

Seashells... The kids loved diving for them. We made our own snorkel world in the pool.

Day two:

Ready for a boat ride and fishing trip! We caught four five fish all together! Mommy won by catching three by relaxing on the bow of the boat! I showed the boys how its done.

Mara is a Minnie me. I used to love boating and she loves it too! A girl after my own heart! <3

Day three: Siesta key beach

Shopping, swimming, and crabs! 

Morning swimming before the sun is even up!! Bright and early risers while Mimi and mommy are still in pjs!

Port Charlotte Town Center promises shopping success! Anchor stores, Beall's, Dillard's, JCPenney, macy*s and Sears, offer a wide variety of fashions for the whole ...

Mmmm... It was yummy! Thanks mom and dad for an excellent evening with brews, margaritas, some salt and old bay! It was fantastic!!

Day five:

Kayaking

We cruised up and down the canals for about an hour and Connor did amazing, sailing his own ship!

Bella Napoli Friday night dinner and some fun at bealls outlet store!
