First Triathlon Is in the books!

WHOOHOO! I CAN SAY ALL THAT TRAINING HAS PAID OFF AND I COMPLETED MY FIRST TRIATHLON. IT WAS A VERY EXCITING MOMENT CROSSING THAT FINISH LINE AND ANOTHER ACCOMPLISHMENT OFF MY BUCKET LIST.

I know I said I wasn't going to beat myself up and I was going to just enjoy every moment and just be so proud of myself of this accomplishment and I am so very happy....but I wish my run was faster. My hammie is finally feeling healed back to total recovery and I am ready to move on to my next accomplishment of the olympic distance triathlon and then next year I can work on perfecting the sprint tri. I still can't totally push it with my hammie so I need to just sit back and relax and enjoy the ride and most of all the excitement that triathlons are bringing to my life. I just LOVE,LOVE, LOVE THEM!  After my marathon is complete in November I think my long days of running miles on end will be replaced with more triathlons and competing in all different places to see all the beautiful places that I can swim, bike and run in around the country!

SWIM

Me getting out of the Lake during my first competiitive swim in many,many years. I did keep up with most of the girls in my wave. I couldn't catch the 6-7 minute girls but was very happy with my 9 minute time of my swim.

 Mommy is a blur coming in strong to the finish line....if I knew I had it in me I would have sprinted the entire last mile but boy did that finish line never look so good to cross!

 Me and my fantastic cheering crew. Meggie was so hot from just watching she actually looked like she was competing in the race too. Look at that head, it is totally soaked.

mmm....watching triathlons sure is tiring...really is this ever going to be over!
