Opening Day in Baseball

THE BLUE JAYS ARE READY FOR SOME BASEBALL

Daddy surprised all the boys by getting their last names on the back of their shirts, the kids thought it was so cool and they all put them on as soon as they got them. The smile on Connor's face was just priceless and of course he picked #1.

opening ceremonies and parade down Ferrell Road

All Connor talked about for the past few days was being "Chooch" the Catcher during Opening Game Day and he got his wish, he played catcher for the first game and had so much fun throwing the ball back to Coach Matt and even got to make a few plays at home plate.

Connor's first at bat during his first season in Coach Pitch boys 6-8 years old. They put in good effort today and played awesome as a "TEAM".  Way to go Blue Jays!

 "rounding first base"
 scoring at home plate

And of course my girls had a fun day at the fields too!
eating soft pretzels, drininking gatorade, sucking on sugar filled baby bottles(not something mommy bought of course), playing on the swings and just being crazy fun loving sisters!

HATS OFF TO A GREAT OPENING DAY
 AND DADDY SAYS
"IS IT REALLY OK THAT I HAD THAT MUCH FUN TODAY"
GREAT JOB COACH DON!
The kids will have a total of nine games this season and will be playing other towns during their season. They play a total of six innings during games(and today we only did two and it took an hour, so approximately 2 1-2-3 hour games) and they have a five run inning or 3 outs rule so at least that helps to keep it moving.....just a little bit. The boys really did have a great time today and they loved every minute of that playing time.
