...Look, its Dora!
Look Mommy I survived my very first haircut
and Connor did too...he wasn't really for getting a short cut, but I can't handle trying to fix his hair every morning now with the baby. His hair takes longer to get the bed head out of it than mine and right now that just isn't happening so here's to the new look!
VISIT WITH SANTA AT THE MALL
Mara really was intrigued by Santa this year. I think she was a little apprehensive when we got there. As soon as she saw Santa she immediately started asking to go to the bathroom and then she put up a little fight but it was too late and it was our turn so I told her to just go say hi and sit on his lap and she was very interested in his look. She actually touched his beard and asked Santa what it was and then told him she wanted a big baby doll and a dollhouse and then said to him, "so are those really your boots?" Connor was talking with Santa and just rambling on and on about how he wants ice skates, a hockey stick, a new hockey goalie helmet and anything hockey. They really had a fun time and I'm glad everyone was happy with their visit. Even Meghan was a perfect little angel there in his arms. Not a single movement or peep from our little Megs. Meghan's first Christmas visiting with Santa Claus
Shhh says Santa
Lunch at Friendly's
The kids had a great time spending the afternoon with their Pop Pop and visiting Santa and topping it off with a yummy lunch and an ice cream sundae.
of course I made Mara wear Meghan's bib so she wouldn't spill on her Christmas shirt. Amazingly not one single drop missed her mouth. But I know if she didn't have the bib on that shirt would be completely covered in ice cream and sprinkles.
And to top the day off... A fun train ride around the mall
and ending our night saying goodbye till morning comes to Bobby our Elf.
THE FIRST SNOWFALL OF THE SEASON
December 16, 2010
I know it is hard to make out these pictures but Connor was so excited to wear his snow boots at the first sight of snow and he couldn't wait to get outside. We barely got a dusting and they were both completely dressed in their snow gear from head to toe and were trying to sled down the front yard. Connor just wanted to know why the sled wouldn't move. I kept trying to tell him that you need just a little bit more, but he insisted and Mara hopped on and off they went. They even attempted to make snow angels in the driveway. It did look beautiful for the time that it lasted and hopefully the next snowfall will be just a little bit more.
