Some new pics of the living room

We didn't get it painted yet, but are loving and enjoying the room very much so far, which has probably put the painting off just a little bit. I did tape the room out so we need to get it done asap. Hopefully one night this week we can battle the walls and get the paint on. As for now it is very comfy and cozy and I love my reading area and Don and the kids love their tv area. The kids love to cuddle together on the sofa and we can't say enough about how much we are enjoying the new house.
The kids are little love bugs together on the couch. You can see my reading area in the background and our new hutch and picture there too.
Don found two awesome prints online and they just go perfect in the room, of course couldn't leave Mara's kitchen out of the room. We decided to put the kids' toys in the hutch and it looks nice and neat. We put most of the other toys in the hall closet and so far Connor has been doing a good job of taking things out and then putting them away after he is done. They both have toys in their rooms and then Connor's cubicle of toys is in the guest bedroom closet.

This back corner is Don's Domain. This is where he sits and relaxes to watch tv and browse on his computer.
And of course, I think I already showed you all our view of the tv. Don patched, taped, spackled and painted over the hole in the wall from the wires and you  would never even know it was there before.
We do eventually want to get a new stand for the cable boxes, but for now the telephone table is doing just great. I just can't wait to see this place painted. The few things I want completed in this house are for the windows to be cleaned, bins in the basement to be moved up to the attic, the living room painted, and then to get started on the kids rooms. We do realize now that our little addition will be arriving in just about 7 weeks and we have to take up the rug, install hard wood floors, paint and put together the crib. I do want to paint Mara and Connor's rooms too, but I think we will just wait for the help from the Grandparents when they are here to help out with the new baby.
The leaves are all ready starting to fall and we are in for a big surprise in a few weeks. Its amazing to see how many are all ready starting to cover the driveway and deck. Connor found this enormous leaf the other day and has been on the hunt to find the biggest leaf and the biggest acorns. The squirrels are on the hunt too, so lets hope we aren't in for a snowy winter like last year. Connor and Uncle Andy were acorn hunting this past weekend and they put an acorn down and went back for it a few minutes later and it was already gone, those sneaky little guys!
Mara posing for me on the porch. My friend Christine was here the other day and her daughter was wearing a bow in her hair and I said to Mara, don't you want to be pretty and girly like Olivia and just wear a bow, so she went upstairs and let me put a bow in her hair. I hope she continues to let me put them in, but not so sure she likes it. I got some cute pics of the kids on the rocks out front and she kept it in the whole time.
Connor and Mara sitting on the huge rocks out front. Don cut away all the ivy so now you can see the rocks and the Japanese tree behind them. Don and Tommy cleared away a lot of the hanging tree limbs and now you can see all the way down the driveway to the street. Just cutting a little bit made a huge difference. Eventually we will cut down some bigger trees and clear out the old grass to lay new grass since most of it is just weeds, but we need to wait until next fall to do that.
Say Cheese, Say What, you are all probably thinking he really cleared some trees, yes we have thousands of trees, but he did clear some of them out. So can you imagine clearing all the leaves from these trees, we are actually getting a little scared.....Anyone want a part time job!
