We are now homeless!
Just to keep you all updated we had our closing on our house last Friday, June 30th, and everything went great. It took all of about 30 minutes and then the keys were exchanged and we were out of there. It was a bitter sweet day because we made so many happy memories there in that house and to see it go to some one else was just a very sad moment. We are looking forward to all the many more happy memories to be shared in our new home but hated to say goodbye to such a wonderful start to our lives and family together and also to such wonderful neighbors, too. I am now able to sleep better at night without worrying if my buyer will show up to settlement or if all the boxes are packed and everything else that floated through my head those last few months. Now only 29 days until we settle on the new house and we get to start all over again, organized, unpacking, buying new furniture, paying bigger bills, etc. It will all be worth it in the end. Don is excited for this week to see his paycheck on Friday and to see what it will be like for working a complete two weeks and then I am back at the mortgage company to give our signatures on our mortgage commitment and turn in antoher pay stub. Tomorrow we are headed to the beach for two days to visit with my cousin Chrissy and give Don's dad a little break. Things have been going great here for the past few days. The kids are pretty much settled in to a routine. Mara still doesn't understand why we aren't going home and wants to know where our couch and her cribbers is. We were at church yesterday and when I made a left to come to Pop Pops she started crying and just said,"Mommy, I don't want to go this way, I just want to go back home and go night-night." So over and over again I am trying to make her understand that Pop- Pops house is our home for right now and when I say we are going home it is going home to Pop Pops. Connor has been adjusting well and been wanting to sleep in Uncle Andy's bed by himself which is a big surprise. Today we went out to get bed rails so he won't fall out anymore and they are installed so hopefully tonight will be an all nighter of him sleeping alone. Here are some more pics of our new house now that our furniture is all stored there and the owner was so nice to let us keep our special stuff and things we didn't want in the basement upstairs I am getting more excited to share it with all of you.
