I wanted to make sure I blogged the priceless words that Connor said yesterday before I forgot to get it down in writing. During our trip to Bermuda my parents came to stay with the kids who were absolute angels the entire time. Connor and Mara both took 3-4 hour naps at least 3 of the 5 days for them(ask me how Connor took a nap, I would love to know) and he still went to bed at a reasonable time of 9pm. My parents took the kids to the zoo, they slept at my sister's house one night and had a blast with their cousins, Connor went swimming in the neighbor's pool with Carson and Uncle Dave, they went to the dinner for lunch, took numerous walks and I'm sure played endless games of soccer and baseball. So anyway, Don was talking to Connor yesterday night and telling him that he had to watch his little DVD player to fall asleep and he wanted to watch the big tv so Don told him he wasn't allowed and he had to watch his movie player, he wasn't too happy with his response so he sat up and said, "What, I can't hear you with my hearing aids out!" Just a total riot... my dad wears hearing aids so I called my mom and she just cracked up with laughter because every morning my dad would tell the kids that he couldn't hear them because he hadn't put in his hearing aids yet. It's just amazing what kids pick up on and how they think to use it in the right context. This is definitely one for the record books. It was absolutely hysterical.
Then today we all went to the doctor's so we could check on the baby and besides my weight gain from vacation and no exercising the baby is doing great with a heart rate of 130 and I got my referral to get my ultrasound done within the next 3 weeks to make sure the baby's organs have all grown properly and that all the measurements are where they should be. So as soon as the Doppler hit my belly we could hear the heartbeat and I told the kids, "listen that is the baby you hear going beat, beat, beat" and Connor says "mommy, I think there are two babies in there" of course he is wrong because their is only one baby, but they were so excited to hear the heartbeat of their new brother or sister. We get in the car and I start talking to them about the baby and how great it is to hear the little beating of our baby and Connor starts talking about if the baby is a boy or a girl and how much he wants a boy baby and then Mara starts yelling "no, its a girl baby, I want a girl baby". Connor just stops and says, "well if it is a girl baby, then Mommy you will just have to have a boy baby too, right?" I have the most adorable kids in the entire world...that is until it hits 8pm and they are refusing to go to bed after a long day. I hope you enjoyed reading about our priceless moments and make sure to capture all of yours before its too late and they are forgotten.

That is priceless Kel! I LOVE it! I love how kids say the funniest things all the time. Being a parent is so rewarding! Also fyi, they say that lower heartbeats (ie: 130-140's) are more likely to be boys and higher ones (150-160's)girls. Are you finding out this time or not because you have one of each already? So excited for you. Going from 2-3 kids is quite an experience, but like all sacrifices involving being a mother, TOTALLY worth it.
LOve you!
