Visit From Gramma!

Gramma's Visit

On Friday we picked Gramma up from the airport and were all excited to see her. Saturday morning, Mommy went to a scrapbooking event until 1pm, Daddy worked and Gramma got to have the kids all to her self. Connor kept her busy all weekend playing Mommy, Daddy and Baby. This new imaginary play game that he likes to make the mommy's be the baby and he acts as the Mommy and Daddy. He buys things for the baby, brings over drinks and food, diapers and then doctors the baby. Gramma and Connor got to play Elefun and Candyland together which are two of Connor's favorite games to play. Samara just follows in on the fun and wrecks house when they are playing Candyland. She throws the card all over the place and basically it ends in a screaming match because Connor gets upset that she is ruining the game.

Saturday night Don and I headed out to one of our favorite places, "Demetri's" for a nice quiet dinner together. They have the best food and it is a byob which makes it an inexpensive night out. We got there right when they opened so that we didn't have to wait and were home just in time for Don's pager to go off and he ended up at work till midnight. Sorry life of a Doctor.

Sunday, we all went to church together and Don had to work so he missed the service, but Gramma got to enjoy Pastor Mark's messaging about being "Lost". We all took a trip to the Acme and then I made a nice sausage scallopini dinner. After dinner we had an early birthday celebration with Gramma for Connor's Almost Fourth Birthday. He had a good time making cupcakes and decorating them. Gramma got Connor an outfit and a Playmobil lego construction set which he plays "Bob the Builder" pretend with almost everyday.
