Another Great Visit With Mimi and Poppy!

It's always a happy moment when I pick up the phone and my Mom and Dad are on the other end of the receiver letting us know of their plans to come and visit us and the grandkids. We had a great visit this time. We all got to spend some quality time together making more memories and having laughs to treasure together. The kids love seeing their grandparents and I know that my mom and dad can't get enough of the kids at least for the first half of the visit. When we see their bags by the door we know that they have had enough of the whining, crying, screaming, bickering, etc. and are ready to head back to the little place they like to call paradise or otherwise "home". We got a few beach days in although they weren't the best beach days of the summer, it is still nice to all be together again on the Jersey beaches. The cousins all had a lot of fun playing together and especially showing off all their fun beach activities for Mimi and Poppy to see. Poppy had a lot of fun playing ball with the kids and Mimi especially liked stepping in the water and jumping the waves with all of them together. It's also always a great time when they are here to see my brother. I'm glad to know that when they are here, he is not very far away. We wish he would come and visit just a little bit more, but at least Uncle Mike takes his time to play with the kids and they really have wonderful smiles on their faces when he is around. Connor is growing up so fast and I can just see Uncle Mike in his future helping him learn to surf and skateboard. Just reminds me of when my little brother was growing up doing these things for the first time way back when. On our last night we all shared ice cream cones together to have a final memory to store away until the next time. We wish you were all closer, but are so happy that you are able to visit us a lot during the year. Hugs and kisses and as Mara says everyday, " where Poppy when she looks at one couch and where Mimi when she looks at the other couch" She was so confused this time when they left and couldn't get it right when she saw her Pop Pop she kept calling him Poppy. Another great thing Mara has recently started saying is Connor! I was so excited because she just loves being around her big brother and when she doesn't see him the second she wakes up, she says, " where Hoohnar go"
