Easter 2009

H A P P Y E A S T E R !

DYING EASTER EGGS DAY ONE!
We went to Aunt Jess's for some pre-Easter fun. It was cute watching all four kids dye eggs together and take turns changing the colors of the eggs. Connor was very proud of his egg dying abilities. Carson on the other hand was more intrigued by how many pretzels he had left on the table in front of him. And of course, little Miss Pey- Pey was just a perfect princess! Mara, well she ate pretzels too.
DYING EATER EGGS DAY TWO!
The kids had the great experience of dying Easter eggs with Pop-Pop and Uncle Andy. It was exciting watching how many different colors we could turn one egg. Don and Connor succeeded at two toning the eggs and were very proud of their designs. Mara had a blast throwing all the plastic eggs from the plate to the floor.

EASTER MORNING!

The kids woke up to a great visit from the Easter Bunny. They both received yummy baskets filled with great big cookies from their Uncle Andy and lots of goodies from the bunny. Connor and Mara also got a special gift from the bunny, too. We aren't sure quite what the bunny was thinking this year but Connor wished for a skateboard and somehow it appeared this morning under the table along with the stroller mommy has been wanting Mara to have since Christmas. That Easter Bunny certainly works his wonders around here. Despite Connor being too young for a skateboard he wouldn't let it go all day. He even asked Don and I if he could sleep with it tonight. Andy and Pop Pop took him outside to try it out but he had a little meltdown because in order to ride the skateboard he has to have all his gear on: helmet, elbow pads, knee pads and wrist bands. He was so equipped that he couldn't even carry his skateboard. As for our little angel, she couldn't be happier with her shopping cart and food to push around. I'm sure her time will come later to have meltdowns, but for now she enjoys everything she has with a smile.

TIME FOR OUR EGG HUNT!

The kids all had a great time looking for eggs to fill their baskets. Samara was happy to bend down and play in the mulch! Take a look at our quick video to check out the slates and the mcmahons battling out for Easter eggs. We all had a great day and enjoyed being together for dinner. Mike and Emily did a great job with the dessert and Jess did a fantastic job with the corn casserole which despite the dilemmas was very tasty. I think the best part of our day was Peyton receiving her guitar just like Connors and they were all having a blast rocking out in the backyard! I got to record their first single, " Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". They certainly have a long way to go, but hey singers and bands all had to start somewhere.
