What a great fortune.....

Last night I decided to keep up our tradition of having family time and going out to dinner with the kids every Friday night to just close the week and begin our weekend only we were down one very important and special member, my hubby! Don got home from work on Thursday night and has either pink eye in both eyes or just an awful cold that is coming out in the eyes, but boy does his eyes look terrible. Poor Don, we hope Daddy is feeling better soon, because we all really miss the good old Dad! So I was being brave and decided to go close to home while Don slept so we wouldn't make any noise and go out for some good Chinese Food. Connor had a blast playing with his chop sticks and eating his Wonton Soup and Mara was such a good little girl as long as she had food on her plate, she was oh so happy. We all shared a plate of veggie fried rice(yummy) and chicken and broccoli. Who would think that both my kids just love chinese and veggies. I'm so glad they take after me in this department. So after we got our dinner our waiter brought us nice warm towels to wash our face and hands and of course our fortune cookies. I usually always get something boring or the same old fortune, but last night my fortune was incredible to me!
It said " Put all your unhappiness aside, life is beautiful, be happy."
I can't say it any better, but this is so true and if you dwell on the hard things or unhappy things you may miss the beauty of life. I definitely believe that we should all stop and think about this more when we start to dwell on the negative things in life. I couldn't ask for a better life right now and I am so happy that I have Don and the kids to share it with. We may have times that we struggle but if we just think about things as a whole, it really doesn't matter in the end, what matters is that we all have one another to make our world perfect.
